Sari Chronicles is written by Savitha Rao. The motifs on the borders are original stylized interpretations of a few traditional sari designs, one band for each variety in the guide.

A naturally curious and organized person, Savitha Rao created Sari Chronicles to remember the stories about her cherished saris when her collection of saris grew, over the years, from four to many more. A lover of textiles but a sari novice, Savitha wanted to create a journal that helps others, like her, learn more about their beloved saris. Her hope is that the stories and the saris are passed together, from one generation to another.
